Borussia Dortmund secured their first Bundesliga victory in five matches with a 2-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday afternoon at the Allianz Arena.

The hosts took control early on, with Borussia Dortmund's attacking midfielder Julian Brandt scoring in the 15th minute to give them the lead. He then assisted once more in the 37th minute when he found Thomas Müller for a second goal.

Brandt's double was his fourth league goal this season and his third since returning from injury in January. The Germany international has been instrumental in Borussia Dortmund's resurgence under manager Simon Klose, who has brought in new signings like Jürgen Klinsmann and Marco Reus to bolster the team.

Adeyemi also played a significant role in the match, making three saves for the German side in the final quarter. The Nigerian goalkeeper has been impressive this season, having made just two mistakes in his last six appearances.

While Bayer Leverkusen did manage to score one goal in the 86th minute through Lucas Pinto, it wasn't enough to prevent Borussia Dortmund from securing their first win in seven matches.

The result moves Borussia Dortmund up to fifth place in the Bundesliga table, while Bayer Leverkusen remain sixth. With only four games left to play, both teams will be looking to secure their playoff spots as they navigate the remaining competition.
