The Real Madrid team has secured a historic victory over their arch-rivals, Getafe, with a 3-0 scoreline. The match was marred by some spectacular goals as both Bellingham and Cristiano Ronaldo scored to secure the win for the Spanish giants. Bolton Wanderers striker Romelu Lukaku had a goal ruled out for offside in the first half, but he was later shown a foul on the penalty spot, which allowed him to score the winner. He did so from the spot after being fouled by Real's goalkeeper Adil Rami. In the second half, it was Cristiano Ronaldo who made his presence felt, scoring two goals in the space of just three minutes. His first goal came after a long-range strike that was headed into the net by Marcelo Bielsa. It was followed up by another effort from the Brazilian forward that found the back of the net again, this time from a free-kick that bounced off the bar before hitting the top corner of the net. Ronaldo continued his impressive form in the second half, scoring again from the penalty spot in the 64th minute. This time, it was Lionel Messi who converted the spot kick, sending Real Madrid into the lead. Real Madrid now have a 2-1 lead at the break, but they need only one more goal to seal their place in the La Liga title race. They will be looking to continue their good run of results when they face Bologna in the next round of matches. |
