The saga continues at Atlético Madrid as midfielder Félix has suffered a knee injury and will be out for the rest of the season.

Felix, who has been a regular starter under manager Diego Simeone, has been ruled out for the full 12 months following his knee surgery. The club had hoped to have him back by the end of the season, but injuries can happen.

Simeone said: "We have known about this injury for some time and we are now facing another loss. It is a setback for our team, especially when you consider that it was a very important player."

The injury is a major blow for the club, which is currently fifth in the Spanish league table with just two wins from their last four games. However, there are signs that they are starting to recover.

Despite being sidelined, Simeone has not forgotten about his squad. He revealed that he has spoken to the medical staff and they are working hard to get Felix back on track.

"Everyone wants to see him play again, but it is difficult," Simeone said. "He has a long way to go before he can return, so we need to focus on everything else and keep working hard."

The club's board has also expressed their disappointment over the situation. They have asked the medical staff to take a look at Felix's knee and make sure it is fully recovered before allowing him to return.

"We want to do everything possible to get Felix back quickly and safely," said the board. "It's disappointing that we haven't been able to bring him back sooner, but we're committed to getting him back as soon as possible."

In the meantime, the club has focused on other areas of their squad. They have already signed defender Yannick Carrasco and goalkeeper Pablo Gómez, both of whom are expected to be part of the side for next season.
