Paris Saint-Germain striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has passed on information about his interest in joining Marseille during the transfer window.

The French club have been linked with Aubameyang since the summer, but it was not until recently that he shared details of their interest with his former team-mate and manager at Paris Saint-Germain, Thierry Henry.

Henry told L'Equipe that Aubameyang had expressed his desire to play for Marseille and that they were interested in him. He added: "Pierre-Emerick is one of the best strikers in Europe and we would be delighted to have him."

Marseille have been keen to strengthen their attacking options this summer and Aubameyang's move would give them another option to consider. The forward has scored 25 goals in 48 appearances for PSG last season and has been linked with a move to Real Madrid or Manchester United in the past.

However, Aubameyang has also shown interest in staying at PSG and maintaining his status as one of the top players in Europe. He has already signed a new contract with the club until 2026 and has been named the league's Player of the Year twice.

Despite this, Henry remains optimistic about Aubameyang's future at Marseille. He said: "I think Aubameyang will do well at Marseille. They have a strong team and I believe he can make a significant impact."
