Manchester City secured a resounding 3-0 victory over Leeds United on Saturday, thanks to Erling Haaland’s impressive display. The Norwegian forward netted five consecutive goals in the match, which was played at Elland Road. Haaland, who has been in sensational form this season, continued his recent run of good form by scoring all three of Manchester City's goals in the match. His first goal came just four minutes into the game, as he volleyed home from close range after receiving a pass from Kevin De Bruyne. He then scored again just two minutes later, this time firing past Leeds' goalkeeper Illiadii Alkass with a powerful shot. The third and final goal for Haaland arrived in the second half, as he headed home a cross from Raheem Sterling to put Manchester City 3-0 up. It was another impressive display from the 22-year-old striker, who has already scored 19 goals this season and is now only one behind Premier League top scorer Harry Kane. The win means that Manchester City have moved back to the top of the Premier League table, ahead of Liverpool and Chelsea. They will be hoping to continue their winning ways when they face Watford next week. |
