On the heels of their impressive Champions League victory over Porto, Juventus have secured their first win of the season with a thrilling performance against Crotone at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome. The game was a closely contested affair from start to finish, with both teams creating numerous opportunities to score. However, it was Juve who emerged victorious thanks to a brace from forward Paulo Dybala, who made his debut for the club on Saturday night. Dybala, who joined Juventus from Parma last summer, had been one of the standout performers during pre-season and his arrival has certainly injected fresh energy into the team. His first goal came in the 29th minute, after he received a pass from defender Leonardo Bonucci and calmly slotted the ball past goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. Just two minutes later, Dybala added another goal, this time finishing off a well-worked counter-attack following a mistake by Crotone's goalkeeper. The second goal proved to be decisive as Juve went on to secure all three points. Overall, it was a fantastic display of football from Juventus, who will now look to build on this success going forward. With Dybala in the side, they should be a force to be reckoned with in Serie A this season. |
